About

Hi!
My name is Etia Farmiga (pronounced “Eh-tee-uh”) and outside of working as a composer on Dream Catchers and Goddamn’s Great Big Adventure, I also work on a number of short films, amassing nearly 150 music/composition credits (and counting). While always prioritizing the story and director’s vision, I also aim to emphasize the individuality of each project through specific choices in melody, texture, orchestration, and, most importantly, harmony.
Though initially from the hot and sunny Orlando, Florida, I’ve recently moved to the sunnier-yet-suspiciously-cooler Los Angeles to study scoring and orchestration with Jonathan Miller, Karen Tanaka, and Marc Lowenstein. The biggest influences on my work come from Michael Giacchino, Stephen Sondheim, and Yu-Peng Chen.
Whenever I’m not writing music for my animation friends, I’m either watching a non-horror movie, a non-horror television show, or am very scared (because I’m watching a horror movie or horror television show).
Thanks for visiting my website and please feel free to get in touch through the contact page or social media!
